There's no explanation for that they split, however, the reason has not been revealed. Linda tweets all aspects of her life. However, she never has revealed the reasons the marriage didn't work out. While she was married to her husband there was never long-term disputes or acts of violence. Jim had moved into another apartment within the same complex when they divorced. The second time, Linda did not want to be around her husband so she relocated far away from him.
