Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish and half-English woman was born on April 16th, 1996, in Miami Florida. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive, as well as Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist who is half-Spanish, and the other half is English. Her father was an Argentine who had Scottish and English roots. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy was born into the family that included six children. Four of her siblings are from her previous marriage to Taylor's dad. Her family lived living in Buenos Aires from the time she reached the age of six until the time they moved to Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatizing as she wasn't able to master English to stay out of the risk of returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she had to attend after switching from Northlands. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in plays. After she turned 16, she quit school to pursue a full-time career in acting. From a young age Taylor-Joy had a dream to work as an actress. the dream became a reality when she was approached for modeling work by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
